Enhancing the Safety of Locally Grown Produce

To Friends and Supporters of Gwinnett County Extension: Extension is sponsoring a food safety training program that will be held on Monday, June 16, from 8:00am to 12:00pm, on the second floor of the building the Extension office is located, at the address below my signature. The program will cover the safe handling and storing fresh fruits and vegetables, how and when to harvest vegetables, canning and some basics on cottage foods. Although the program is marketed for vendors at local farmers markets, the topics covered can be of interest to homeowners as well. Please refer to the attached flyer for more information. The program is only $10 per participant. We take cash or check, no credit cards. Please make the check out to Gwinnett Cooperative Fund. The deadline to register is June 12.
